The Closing Line (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates www.theclosingline.net (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

• Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password (stored in hashed form by our authentication provider, Supabase).
• Payment information. Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Your card details are collected by Stripe.js in your browser and never stored by us; we store only your subscription status and a Stripe customer reference.
• Contact form submissions. If you contact us, we collect the name, email address, subject, and message you provide.
• Newsletter signups. If you subscribe via our email capture form, we store your email address.
• Usage data. We collect pages visited, referring pages, and a random identifier stored in your browser. When you are signed in, page activity may also be associated with your account.
• Visit and checkout steps. To learn how visitors reach a membership, we record a random visit identifier kept in your browser tab (replaced after 30 minutes without activity), the first page of the visit, the referring site's domain, campaign tags in the link (such as utm_source), a device type based on screen width, which membership buttons were shown or clicked, time on page and scroll depth, and the checkout steps you reach with any error code. We never record what you type, your password or your card details. When you start a membership, where you first arrived is also attached to your subscription record. We do not store IP addresses for this. Visit and checkout tracking respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals.
• Related-product links. When enabled, we count activations of selected links to Bot for Kalshi, recording the placement, destination, campaign and time. These click records do not contain your account ID, browser identifier, email address or IP address. A random event identifier prevents duplicate counting of a retried event. Referral click tracking respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide access to articles, tools, and member features
• To process subscription payments and manage billing (via Stripe)
• To send you content you signed up for (you can unsubscribe at any time)
• To respond to messages you send us
• To understand site traffic and improve the Site

We do not sell your personal information.

Advertising & Cookies

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on the Site. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site and other websites.

• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
• You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.

Data Storage & Third Parties

We use the following service providers to operate the Site:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting
• Railway — application hosting
• Stripe — subscription payments and billing
• Google AdSense — advertising

Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy and security practices.

Tools & Uploaded Files

Files you upload to our calculators (such as trade history CSVs in the Tax Estimator) are processed entirely in your browser and are never transmitted to or stored on our servers.

Data Retention & Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from your profile page. You may also request deletion of any data we hold about you by contacting us through the contact page.

Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Content on this Site concerns regulated trading markets intended for adults.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
